New “eTrakit” System
The City of Rockwall has launched its new “eTrakit” website which offers citizens and registered contractors access to the City’s tracking program for building permits, planning/engineering projects and code enforcement cases. Citizens can also search the City’s growing database of registered contractors. Additional search capabilities and enhancements are planned in the near future, including online inspection requests.
Construction Restrictions
The City Council has approved an amendment to the city’s noise ordinance that forbids construction work
on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The amendment is intended to allow residents a timeout
from construction noise on the designated holidays. It applies only to contractors and not to
homeowners.
