Toll Tags Residents can sign up for a toll tag account at Rockwall City Hall, 385 S. Goliad St. on the 1st floor. The information is entered into the toll authority system, and the tag is given to the applicant that day. Toll Tag accounts are prepay, which means sufficient funds must be maintained with the North Texas Tollway Authority to cover tolls and charges for use of the tag. Rockwall Fire
Department
The Rockwall Fire Department proudly serves the City of Rockwall with XX full-time paid staff, and over XX volunteer fire personnel. Having a mostly volunteer department saves City of Rockwall taxpayers more than $5.4 million dollars annually. This equates to a 27.4 cents savings per $100 assessed home value. The services provided by the Rockwall FD are equal to or greater than services provided by fully-paid departments elsewhere.
The Rockwall FD offers free smoke detector installation for Rockwall residents as well as public education opportunities throughout the year. There are numerous ways for interested residents to become involved in the community through the Fire Department. The Citizens Fire Academy is a popular program with residents as well as the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training.

Rockwall Police Department
The City has over 65 sworn police personnel protecting the Rockwall community. The Rockwall Police Department offers many opportunities to meet and greet the public throughout the year. The City has consistently been recognized and received honors for its annual “National Night Out,” which remains a popular event for local residents and businesses. The Rockwall PD also has opportunities for residents to become involved. The Rockwall Citizens on Patrol group assists the PD with neighborhood crime watch and other programs, and training for the COP group is offered at various times throughout the year.
