The goal of the City of Rockwall Emergency Management Program is to help save lives and protect property while ensuring that normal continuity of government and other operations can be sustained or quickly restored within our city in the event that a major emergency or disaster occurs.
Emergency Management in Rockwall is carried out by the City’s Administration Department in close partnership with Police, Fire, and various other departments within the City. In an effort to better prepare for major emergencies or disaster situations which threaten to affect our community, Emergency Management staff assists city departments with activities related to mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. Additionally, Emergency Management staff is charged with ensuring timely and adequate public warning of potential or imminent disaster events...More
After a disaster, residents may need to be self-sufficient for up to 72 hours without additional resources. Neighborhood-based Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) provide the training and equipment to help you bridge that gap.
