The Parks Division is responsible for all outdoor maintenance
in parks, medians, and right-of-ways located within the
City of Rockwall. This Division is also responsible for
support services to festivals, special events, installation,
maintenance and removal of all holiday decorations. In addition
to keeping Rockwall beautiful, the Parks Division recycles
old branches and grass clippings into Mulch which is free
to all Rockwall County residents.
Harbor Reservations
Pavilion Reservations
The City of Rockwall has park pavilions at
Lofland
Park, Harry Myers Park, Shores Park, Fox Chase Park and the SH 66 Boat Ramp that may be
reserved by City residents
no more than 6 months in advance. The pavilions
are available to non-residents on a first-come, first-serve
basis but will not constitute a reservation.
The fee for reserving a pavillion is $25 per rental period. The rental periods are:
6:00am - 12:00noon,
12:00noon - 5:00pm, and
5:00pm-11:00pm.
You may check availability by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at (972) 771-7761. All reservations must be made in person.
Harry
Myers Community Center
This facility is great for meetings and
receptions
and can
accommodate up to 100 people. Fees
are $60 for non-residents
and $40 for per rental period for City residents and $20 for each additional rental period. The fees for non-residents are $60 per rental period and $30 for each additional rental period. In addition, there is a $25 refundable key deposit. You may check availability by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at (972) 771-7761. All reservations must be made in person and can be made no more than 6 months in advance.
The Center
The Center provides the perfect atmosphere for
wedding receptions,  reunions,
corporate parties or special family events. It is conveniently
located south of the Old Town District at the southeast
corner of Goliad and Washington. We have a variety of rooms
to meet your needs including the Lone Star Room which can
accommodate 300 seated banquet style and the Big Bend Room
which will seat up to 30 people. Reservations for this facility
must be made in person and accompanied by the appropriate
fees.
Harry
Myers Park Pool
The swimming pool at Harry Myers Park is available
for group and individual party rentals. City of Rockwall
lifeguards are required at all rentals and incorporated
in the rental fee. There is a two hour minimum. Applications
for reservations will be accepted at the Parks & Recreation
Offices. Fees: 50 or less people $50/hr; 51-100 people $60/hr
Ball fields
City
ball fields are located at Harry Myers Park and the Tuttle
Athletic Complex. Ball field reservations are $10/hr and
must be done in person no more than 7 days in advance at
the Parks & Recreation Office.
Amphitheatre
The amphitheater at the Harry Myers Park is
available for rental. For information on reserving this
facility for your special event, please contact the Parks
& Recreation Office.
