Crime Analysis
The City of Rockwall Police Department has one full time crime analyst. The crime
analyst will perform data analysis and report crime statistics, trends, and patterns. The analyst is also responsible for suspect-crime correlation, profiles and other police research work.

The duties of the crime analyst include but are not limited to:
• Assisting police officers and detectives in the investigative process.

• Providing statistical information to the Chief of Police for the City Council.

• Providing statistical information for the Citizens of Rockwall and other interested
agencies.

• Detecting and mapping out current crime trends and patterns.
