Quail Run Road Closure
Weather permitting; Quail Run Road will be closed beginning Monday, May 10th from Memorial Drive to Hays Road, for pavement reconstruction. The closure will last until mid-June. Detour signs will be in place.

FM 552 @ John King Blvd
In order to improve visibility at the FM 552 and John King intersection, the City of Rockwall and TxDOT have partnered in lowering a portion of the hill, east of the intersection. Construction will begin the week of July 19th and is scheduled to be complete prior to the start of school.
FM 740
A contractor for the City of Rockwall is scheduled to complete relocating water and wastewater lines along FM-740 (Ridge Road), between Horizon Road and Henry M. Chandler Drive, June 2010.
The reconstruction of Shadydale Lane, east of FM-740 will begin Monday, November 23rd by beginning construction of the connection to the Fox Chase subdivision. The road is open to 2-way traffic.
The reconstruction of White Road, between FM-740 and Tubbs Road, will begin Monday, November 30, 2009 and is scheduled to be complete in late June..

John King Blvd
The following sections of the John King Blvd Project are open:
1. SH-205 (south) to IH-30 Service Road
2. SH-205 (north) to IH-30 Service Road
The railroad crossing at John King Boulevard is completed and open to traffic. Motorists can now travel from State Highway 205 - near the north city limits, south to the Interstate 30 intersection.
