Come enjoy watching over 100 festive floats as they make their way from the Rockwall County Courthouse on Yellowjacket Lane to Historic Downtown Rockwall. This is a Rockwall community tradition residents and visitors alike will love! There are plenty of viewing areas along the 1.50 mile route. A parking and festivities map is available for specific location information. This year’s theme is “A Magical Christmas”. Kiwanis Club looks forward to this event each year as we kick off the start of the holiday season in Rockwall – A Hometown Christmas.

The Hometown Christmas Festival in Historic Downtown is part of a day-long celebration in Rockwall! The Downtown Rockwall Association invites you to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon for the entire family. Shop the holiday market in San Jacinto Plaza for festive food basket fills, like artisan chocolate, pecans, pound cakes, dips, jellies and jams, spices and more! Santa and the Grinch, along with their sleigh, will be located in San Jacinto Plaza all day. Wear your most festive attire and get those family Christmas card pics! Children’s activities on the square include bounce houses, games, crafts, giveaways, a snow play area, slides, photo ops, train rides and more. Downtown Rockwall offers some of the best shopping and dining in DFW, so don’t forget to carve out a little extra time to stop in!

CityPlace - City Hall Campus

After a fun-filled day of Christmas festivities on the downtown square, make your way across the street to City Hall for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on City Hall campus. Here you can create Christmas themed crafts, sip hot chocolate and snack on holiday cookies, provided by Rockwall Women’s League. The atmosphere will be filled with holiday spirit, including a live performance by the Steve Story Band as Jolly Ole St. Nick drops by to listen to your children’s Christmas wishes. Bring your camera for a memorable picture with Santa! You don’t want to miss the sights and sounds of Christmas!
