Hwy 205 / Goliad / I-30 Updates
On-Going

Construction has started on the 205 bypass (John King Blvd.) from FM552 north to SH205. The work is scheduled to be completed by early August. more...

The IH 30 east bound exit ramp to SH 205 is currently closed. This exit ramp will be closed approximately one year.

Drivers will need to exit at the frontage road exit 67C which is approx. one mile east of the existing exit for SH205.

TXDOT is currently in the process of replacing the bad areas in the road on
SH-205 from SH-78 in Lavon to north of Olive Street in Rockwall and then south of Sids Rd. to the Kaufman County Line. Work will take place daily. Currently TXDOT will be working on SH-205 between SH-78 and FM-552 in the south bound lane. Work in the City limits will take place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. TXDOT will keep the City informed of this construction on SH-205.

Traffic has been switched on Ralph Hall Parkway, The switch moved the eastbound traffic on Ralph Hall to one lane of the westbound lanes of Ralph Hall (creating 2-way traffic on the westbound lanes). The construction at the intersection will take approximately 5 months.

SH 205 from Sids Rd. to Yellowjacket Lane is now one lane. The south side of the I-30 Service Rd. is also one lane. Also the right turn lane off of north bound SH 205 turning onto SH 276 will no longer be available. These changes will be in effect for about 1 year or until this phase of the construction is complete. If you should have any questions concerning the lane closures or the construction schedule please call the TXDOT office at 214-320-6240.
